I hope to study abroad in Rome from January 2011-May/June 2011 … My parents are paying for tuition, room/board, and necessary expenses such as food. I want to save up a substantial amount of spending money in order to save my parents some trouble. Of course I plan on traveling on the weekends and during breaks … I was wondering how much spending money I should save in order to afford to visit these countries/cities:
Naples, Milan, Sicily, Venice, Florence (within Itay)
Germany (Berlin & Munich)
Ireland (Dublin)
England (London)
Czech Republic (Prague)
Switzerland (Genova)
Vatican City
Greece
France (Paris, Cannes, Nice)
Spain (Madrid, Barcelona)
Monaco (Monte Carlo)
& hopefully some of eastern europe as well. Please keep in mind that I am willing to buy a train pass and fly for very cheap (ryan air, or other similiarly cheap airlines) most of these trips will be weekend trips and I am more than willing to stay in hostels. Any kind of ballpark estimate would be nice!
1,000! thank you for your insight! i was planning on having to bring around 3k purely for travel expenses! has anyone had any experience with the eurail pass? and if so, is it worth it?
Im planning to go to palermo for 10 days at the end of august. Me and my friends wanna rent a car there and travel around. But where should we book a hotel? Should it be in Palermo or other area?? We need a nice hotel..beach and close to center with all entertainments.
I am traveling from Sicily to Rome this week and then from Rome to NYC. I purchased fridge magnets as souvenirs for my family and I need to know if these can go in a carry on bag or not. PLEASE help!
Would like to travel in June 2011. Like a guided tour.
Traveling from the United States. Would like a guided tour in Sicily.
I am traveling to Naples, Italy, in early August for a couple of weeks holiday. For the 1st night I would like to say somewhere within an hour or so drive from Naples airport before I move further South towards Amalfi and then towards Sicily. Could anyone give me some suggestions for the 1st night, or few nights stay? (preferably outside of Naples as I am driving in a hire car and understand parking is hectic!).
Thanks
David
Im trying to search through the sites trying to find the best airline that has the most comfortable experience for the long flight from Austin to Sicily. I have never travelled internationally, but have taken many domestic flights. I just dont see how i could be sitting in the same seats i Do here in America for an 18 hour flight! I need some input and advice! Are they automatically more comfortable and recline back farther? Do you have a TV in front of you? What are your experiences… Help!
Thank you!
