I Need Information About A Tourist Visa To Italy…please Help!!?

I hold an Indian passport (with ILR) and i am married to a British citizen…we have booked a holiday to Sicily in Italy. we have applied for a tourist visa for myself and paid £76 at the visa offce..as visa fee incl of service charge etc. but the guy at the visa office did not collect all the documents i took with me like bank statements and travel /stay confirmation so i was a bit confused….i have come home and looked on the website again and seen that a spouse of EU citizen does not require a visa!? Is this true? if it is why did the guy at the office not tell me? my husband was with me when i attended the appointment..i want to know- Does the spouse of an EU citizen who has indefinite leave to remain in the UK require a tourist visa for italy?

My Trip To Italy! Help!?

Hey everyone, I am going to backpack in italy for one month. I am 20 and will be traveling alone, staying in hostels.
I will travel by train, north to south. Flying in the north (milan or venice) and leaving from Rome.
Main goals are photography, culture/language, meeting people and cuisine.
My main destinations are Venice, Florence and Rome.
I don’t want to be a “see it all tourist”, but I definitely want to stop in a few places in between.
Where should I go? What is worth the travel time and money?
How easy is it to get down south and what should I see?
Is it realistic to make it to Sicily at all?
Thank you!

Italian Speakers Can You Please Help Me With This?

I have an italian homework to write a 200 word essay on what part from Italy i’d like to visit. And so i did!
can you just read it and please verify that there isn’t any errors? wheter it’s grammatical errors or anything?
If I could travel to Italy I would like to visit Sicily. Because from what I’ve learned about it, it has really good climate, lots of clear water, and beautiful beaches; which reminds me a lot of my own country. Not only that, but their culture and traditions seem really interesting, such as the “Valle dei Templi” and “The Cathedral of Monreale” it looks like a beautiful church that I’d really like to visit, I’d also like to be part of their traditions and learn how to communicate with people better. Sicily is an island located in the Mediterranean Sea which is one of the major reasons its waters are so clear and abundant, and I’ve heard that the fishing is really popular and a big part of their economy. When talking about food you can’t forget Sicily, because they grow a lot of fruits, cotton, wheat, corn, etc. Lately they’ve also been popular for their wines that have been sold all over the world. Sicily has so much natural beauty that I’d like to see, and also meet new people and understand their culture better. One of the benefits is that I can gain a lot of experience from this and use it in the future. Sicily looks like the number one place for a nice and enjoyable vacation.

Traveling To Altomonte, Italy In August. Help!?

We are going with my husband’s family to Altomonte, Italy the last two weeks in August this year. We are staying in a friend’s home for the first week and traveling the second week. Does anyone know what there is to do in and around Altomonte? We are very outdoorsy, adventurous, active people and love to experience nature and other cultures. Is there a beach that won’t be ridiculously crowded sometime between the 22nd and 27th? (I’m sure I’m asking WAY too much in the month of August) Also, would it be better to travel around by car or rail, or a mix of the two? We’d really like to go to Sicily, Venice and Umbria/Tuscany as well. Any info will definitely help! THANK YOU!!!
