Traveling In Sicily?

I’m going to be in Trapani, Sicily next week. What should I do in the area in terms of sightseeing, places to eat, etc. Also, any information about a bus or train from Trapani to Syracusa?

I’m living in Italy but too far from Trapani to give you any personal tip as to sightseeings and where / what to eat. However I feel it could help you a lot if you give a look to the 2 links here below :http://www.comune.trapani.it/turismo/tou…http://www.trapani-sicilia.it/english/
As to connections from Trapani to Siracusa I couldn’t find any website for the bus.
Here is the link for trainshttp://orario.trenitalia.com/b2c/TimeTab…
but frankly speaking I didn’t imagine it was a so long trip (11/12 hours) with change in 2-3 stations.
I guess you’ll find easier to go to Siracusa by bus since it’s impossible there is no alternative to a so long trip by train.
I’m sure you can get proper info when you are overthere.
Sorry but I cannot help you more than this.

    Hi
I lived in Sicily for over 13 years and yes their several trains that go from Trapani to Syracusa you are looking at least 8 to 12 hour trip but I would suggest you makes some stops on the way like Tarominia which a resort Beach I your way to Syracusa like Catania and so on.
If you like wine you need to go to Pachino Targets to get some of their wines like Mascutio(don’t know if it’s spelled right) and soe other hoe ade wines that are really cheap.
