met someone in Cuba from Catania, Sicily and he wants to come to Canada to see me. I would rather meet him somewhere sunny as there won’t be much to do in Saskatchewan, Canada…especially since neither of us speak each others language well. Canadian have three very popular choices for sunny vacations…Cuba, Mexico and Dominican Republic. The prices for each are simular. Is it more common and/or less expensive for those from Italy to travel to one of those destinations from Rome? Or would it be cheaper for him to come to Canada? I don’t want to burden him with expenses and would like to make the most of our time and $$.
He isn’t much of a texter and is very laid back so I am having trouble trying to decide something with him….oh and that whole language barrier thing too doesn’t help…ha ha.
Thanks for your help

For Italians Sardinia, Spain and Southern France are popular destinations for the summer, Croatia and Greece too…
I guess it would definitely be more expensive for him to travel to either Cuba, Mexico or Dominica Republic…but then again, maybe because of the exchange rate €/$ there might not be that much of a difference. I have no idea how much it could cost to travel to the places you’ve mentioned, from Italy maybe you could try looking at some sites like lastminute.com or travelocity.com so you can see if it would be that much expensive for him or not (and also for you!).
go to cuba with your friend, italy is very very expensive now!!
